Released in 1979, the Kenner Boba Fett action figure is one of the most famous milestones in toy history. Introduced to the public via a special mail-away promotion before The Empire Strikes Back hit theatres, this 3.75-inch figure instantly captured the imagination of Star Wars fans worldwide.

While originally offered as a mail away figure with a spring-loaded, rocket-firing jetpack, safety concerns forced Kenner to permanently seal the projectile into the final mass-market release.
