Why do we have strange hours?

Newest Update

Our online store is only open on weekends right now. It opens at 4pm every Saturday, and remains open until Tuesday noon. Since we’ve had people inquiring as to why, I thought I’d make a quick post to explain how Covid-19 has changed our business, but for the better.

Pre-Covid, we’d be behind on collections that come in, and we’d stick them in the backroom, or the basement, and forget about them. When Covid-19 showed up, and our city was in shutdown, that allowed us PLENTY of time to go through it all… and we “found” a ton of stuff we had forgotten we had!

So now, our store is only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for in store sales, and Online from Saturday night to Tuesday noon. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are reserved for sorting collections, adding items to the site, processing website orders, and general clean up of the shop. Sunday we generally purchase collections, and take the rest of the day off.

So there you have it...

NEW! Weekend Online Store!

Newest Update

Starting THIS Saturday, we’re starting something new. We’re going to be opening up our online store for 48 hours, starting at 4pm until Monday at 4pm. It will be CLOSED every other time during the week.

We’ve just restocked it with WWE Figures, MOTU, Star Wars, and more. The only sections unavailable at this time online will be Transformers, WWF LJN, and Supplies.

The plan is to take Tuesday and Wednesday to fill orders, restock the site, and complete sorting collections that come into the store.

All orders will be available for pickup during store hours, or Curbside pickup. Any questions, please email us.

E-STORE UPDATE!

Newest Update

We’ve seen the posts online, gotten the emails and messages. Due to Covid, many people don’t always want to leave their house and venture into stores. We get that. So what we’re going to try is opening the website once a month for a weekend. That first weekend is this Saturday, July 18th starting at 4pm, and will run until Monday at noon. We’re still not shipping anything out, so any orders you make online must be picked up at our store. You can do Curbside pick up, or just come inside and pick it up. Your choice! One quick note – not all sections will be available online this weekend. You can access the online store here: www.bountyhuntertoys.com/store

Current Status Update

Newest Update

We’ve been re-opened to the public for a month now, and we’d like to thank everyone (except for those two people), for adhering to our policy of sanitizing and wearing a mask in our store. We’re still strongly suggesting that if you’re visiting, to book an appointment via the BOOKING link above. It’s not required, but it does guarantee you won’t be waiting for your turn to enter as we are still limiting the amount of people inside. We’re still on a limited hourly schedule as well. So please be sure to check our hours and all other information here on this site.

The e-store has been closed down due to issues that have come up. Some of it is stupid stuff, some of it is double billing. The rest isn’t worth boring you with. I’m not sure if it will return or not as we’ve been pretty busy in store – and it’s like running two businesses with the online portion still going. Should it return, a huge portion of the items listed online will no longer be offered...

We’re open!

Newest Update

We’re open! Please be sure to read our last few updates for more information on how we’re safely opening our doors to people again. In short, wear a mask, use sanitizer, and stay away from other people in the store when possible. Most important new rule is to always have fun! We’re the same store we’ve always been, except now we have a website for you to order items and pick them up here, as well as book an appointment online. Please be sure to check out our new hours for the time being also. Thanks all! Let’s hope this goes smoothly.

Re-Opening Update #3

Newest Update

WEB SITE NEWS: We’ve re-opened our web site for online orders again. Many of you really wanted us to leave it up, so we’re going to give it a try and have the site running while the store is open. Please be aware however – just because something is listed online, doesn’t mean it’s accessible in the store. Orders are to be picked up Thursday, Friday or Saturday of the same week. We’ve removed the local delivery option as well. We may bring it back in the future, with a small delivery fee. For now, it’s strictly local pick ups at the store.

APPOINTMENT BOOKINGS: When we re-open on Thursday, May the 28th, things will be a little different. We’ll only be allowing two people in the store at a time, and it will be on an appointment basis. There’s some stipulations we’ve put in place should you want to visit the store in person. They’re listed on the booking page.

HOURS OF OPERATION: The “new normal” is going to take some getting used to, so we’re doing this slowly...

Ok gang. Here’s how and when we’re reopening.

Limit of two customers at a time (for now).
– By appointment only (for now).
– Hands to be sanitized upon entry.
– Mask to be worn at all times in store.
– Only debit and Credit Cards will be accepted.
– Surfaces and debit machine cleaned after every customer.
– Website will be reopened for pick up orders only.
– Curbside delivery still available.

We talked with the supervisor of Health and Safety from Hamilton, and her exact words for our plan was “That’s perfect!” So next Thursday, one week from today, on May 28th, our retail store at 118 Ottawa Street North will be open on limited hours from 12pm to 5pm Thursday and Friday, and 10am-3pm on Saturday.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Re-opening News!

Newest Update

The Ontario Government announced today that retail businesses with street-front entrances (like ours) can reopen on Tuesday May 19th WITH safety measures in place. One of these measures is 1 customer per every 43 sq feet. Our store is 2000 Sq feet in size, so we’d be allowed 4 customers and a child.

We won’t be open on Tuesday however. With a holiday weekend upon us, there isn’t enough time to get the items required to enforce safety measures in the store. We’ll announce ASAP what day we will be reopen. I’m personally aiming for May 26th. When we do reopen, we’re most likely going to limit it to two or three people at a time, and try it out that way first.

So, what about the website?

Well, as of this Saturday morning, it’s going to be shut down until we decide what to do with it. that means no more delivery orders. We don’t ship items anywhere anyway, so we don’t need a website with product on it when we have so much more to offer in our actual store.

So you have unt...

E-STORE ONLINE!

Newest Update

I know it’s April 1st, but this is not a joke!
Our very rushed website is now online! It’s still a work in progress, but our web site for local orders only (at this time) is now live!

(Click the STORE) link above)

A few items of note about it:

  • Tax is included on all orders as a thank you for still supporting us during all of this.
  • ALL orders are pre-paid, non-contact, curbside pick-up. What this means is after you make your order, you can pick it up that Saturday, between 10-2pm. When you arrive at the store, call us from your car, and we’ll place it outside on a chair/stool for you. Then you can can come pick it up.
  • Site will slowly have items added to it throughout the week.
  • If there’s something in the store you’re interested in, but it’s not online, message us, and we’ll work something out for you.
  • Deliveries for order are made on Mondays.

Any issues, concerns, or otherwise, please let me know.
Thank You.

COVID-19 Update

Newest Update

Being Ready for COVID-19 means acting as part of a local & global community.

This means not hoarding vital items, like gloves, and household essentials. It means sharing & not stockpiling. It means helping others & not shunning people. Working together is key to fighting this.

It also means venturing out only to check on family, friends and loved ones.

While the outbreak is a serious public health concern, the majority of those who contract the coronavirus do not become seriously ill, and only a small percentage require intensive care. Those with pre-existing conditions also fall into that category. I have asthma, and I’m Diabetic. I fit that category.

So, much like some other businesses that have decided the public’s safety is more important than profit, we’re going to be closed for two weeks and do our part to help. we suggest you follow us on Social Media for updates.

Now if only our bills and rent payment would freeze as our income is about to do.
Thanks for your understand...
